Set amongst the pine covered mountains of Sierra de Mijas, this small
white village offers a view of the new and old Andalusia. The west, older,
end of Mijas offers traditional, narrow streets that are lined with
white townhouses, while the west, or newer area of Mijas Pueblo offers broader roads with
3 and 4 storey buildings.For anyone that comes down to the Costa, Mijas Pueblo
is worth a visit, if not for the truly beautiful views, than at least
for a ride on the Burro Taxi (Donkey Taxi).
