If you are planning on working in spain, there are several important things that you need to know. First off we recommend that you learn Spanish as it is a necessity in all fields and will generally help you in your day to day activities. You should also apply for your N.I.E. and residencia as you are not allowed to work in Spain without them. If you are not from an EU country you will need to obtain a visa and permission from the Spanish Ministry of Labour (Ministerio de Trabajo).
You should not plan on obtaining employment here unless you have a firm job offer, have sought after qualifications or experience. As always there is a demand for these criteria.
Many people turn to self-employment or start a business to make a living. If this is the option that you want, please look into the area where you wish to do business. Please remember that a lot of your business here could be seasonal.
