Hostal El Cid Fuengirola Guide to Andalucia

Estepona, once a traditional small AndalucÌan fishing port, is now one of the fastest growing and most popular destinations on the Costa del Sol. Despite its recent changes, Estepona has managed to preserve its peaceful atmosphere. From the Estepona port, it is possible to take part in a variety of sport amenities along with dolphin spotting trips and fishing excursions.

This stretch of coast also offers some of the best beaches on the Costa del Sol, and have even one the Blue Flag Award.

Estepona is approximately an hour drive from Malaga airport and is easily accessible by the N340 motorway or the new toll road. The town planners have successfully combined modern architecture with old, completely avoiding the construction of high-rise apartment blocks, which can be a feature in the more established Costa towns. Instead, attractive plazas, traditional Spanish houses and wide avenues lined with orange trees set the scene in the town, while the flourishing Estepona Costa is home to world-class luxury hotels, superb golf courses, commercial complexes and numerous exclusive residential developments.
